If you have a claim concerning damaged property or personal injury, that qualifies for processing by Swedish Motor Insurers (TFF), you can report it to us. The easiest way to do this is to use our digital claim notification.

Most parking claims are processed by insurance companies, but some are processed by Swedish Motor Insurers (TFF). Here we provide information on where to report your claim. But we start by explaining what is counted as a parking claim.

At Swedish Motor Insurers (TFF) we process claims caused by unknown or uninsured vehicles that are required to have motor third party liability (MTPL) insurance. In some cases we also process claims where foreign vehicles are involved.

If you have suffered damage or injury, you should report the claim as soon as possible; this facilitates processing. The longer time that passes, the more difficult it may be for you to prove that there is a connection between the accident and the damage or injury in question.

This is what applies when a foreign vehicle is involved in a traffic accident in Sweden or abroad.

In some cases we also deduct an excess from the compensation you receive from us. This applies to material damage caused by unknown vehicles required to have motor third party liability (MTPL) insurance, such as passenger cars, lorries or mopeds.

We may reduce your compensation if the accident occurred because you, or the person in charge of your property, were negligent or consciously contributed to the damage.

We may reduce your compensation if the accident occurred because you were negligent or consciously contributed to the injury. We may also reduce the compensation if you were the driver of the vehicle and drove under the influence of alcohol or drugs and consequently contributed to the accident.

We at Swedish Motor Insurers (TFF) keep a record of all claims reported concerning reindeer killed in traffic. We also handle some of these claims, but far from all of them.

In the first instance you should contact your claims handler at TFF. It is important that we reply to your questions, hear your comments and clear up any misunderstandings.
