If you are not satisfied
If you are not satisfied with our decision you can lodge an appeal with us. Contact us and state that you wish to appeal and why. If new facts emerge that we were previously unaware of, they may lead to a review of our decision.
Appeal our decision to the district court
If you are not satisfied with our decision you can take the case further to a court (district court). In that case you should submit an application to institute proceedings to the district court.
If you have an insurance policy that covers legal expenses you can get help with the costs that arise when a case goes to court. Legal expenses are usually included in home, house and holiday home insurance policies, and sometimes in car and boat insurance policies. Contact your insurance company for more information. If you do not have any insurance or if it is not valid, you may be entitled to legal aid, but special grounds must exist for this. Contact a legal representative (member of the Swedish Bar Association or lawyer) for advice.
Review your compensation in the Road Traffic Injuries Commission
If you have suffered personal injury and are not satisfied with the compensation the case can be reviewed by the Road Traffic Injuries Commission. The Commission does not review the decision itself but only the amount of the compensation.
Contact your claims handler if you want to take the case further to the Road Traffic Injuries Commission.
The insurance company’s processing of a parking claim
If you have reported a parking claim to your insurance company and are not satisfied with their decision you can request that they make a new assessment. Contact the insurance company and state the reasons for your dissatisfaction.
If the insurance company does not change its decision you can request that we carry out a review, which means that we make a new assessment of the case. In that case, contact the insurance company, stating that you wish to have the case reviewed by Swedish Motor Insurers (TFF). The insurance company will then send all the documentation to us. We will notify our decision both to you and to the insurance company in due course.
