Charge for uninsured vehicles
A person who does not insure their vehicle is breaking the law. If your vehicle is not insured with an insurance company, you as owner must pay a charge to Swedish Motor Insurers (TFF) for each day your vehicle is uninsured.
About motor third party liability insurance
Do you own a vehicle? In that case you probably need motor third party liability (MTPL) insurance - this is a legal requirement that applies from the first day of ownership of a vehicle.
What does the payment demand refer to?
We send payment demands for various reasons. The most common reason is that a vehicle is or has been uninsured. We also send other types of payment demands such as unpaid excess and cost of claim.
Making payments to us
You can make payment to us in several ways. Choose the method that suits you best.
Apply for a payment plan
If you are unable to pay all you owe at once you can apply for a payment plan. This means you will pay off your debt to us with a fixed amount every month.
If you do not pay in time
If you do not pay our payment demand, we will send a reminder. If you do not pay after the reminder we may send a debt collection demand to you. To avoid this happening, get in touch with us if you are late with a payment, cannot pay all at once or if you consider the payment demand is incorrect.
Representatives and powers of attorney
If you wish to engage a representative to handle your cases with us you need to give the representative a power of attorney to represent you.
