We are responsible for ensuring that our processing of personal data in damage prevention work (fire protection training and machine type certification) is correct.

Why is TFF processing personal data about me?
We process your personal data in order to administer training organised by TFF and that you or your employer have expressed interest in or that you have participated in. Personal data is also used for invoicing, bookkeeping and statistics, as well as for troubleshooting and managing our IT systems.

Does TFF have the right to process personal data about me?
Our processing of your personal data is necessary to enable us to fulfil our part of the contract that you enter into with us when you register for a training course. The processing is also necessary for our legitimate interest in administering and implementing training.

Which personal data is processed?
We process data including name, employer, address, telephone number and email address.

Is sensitive data processed?
We do not need sensitive data about you. Examples of sensitive data include judgments in criminal cases, ethnic origin, political opinion, trade union membership, health, sexual life and religious belief.

Who can see personal data about me?
Those who process courses and machine approvals, as well as the teachers and consultants hired for these activities can see your personal data. In some cases, staff in IT and accounting can also see data, for example in the course of system development or invoicing. Information about individual course participants’ eligibility may be provided on request to employers or other contractors in the machine industry.

How long are personal data retained?
We retain personal data provided within the area of damage prevention as long as we believe they may be needed for historical traceability in the operations, for example in order to identify previous course participants. Personal data is never retained for more than seven years.
