My vehicle was uninsured

Trafikförsäkringsföreningen (TFF) deals with damage in which uninsured vehicles were involved.

TFF deals with your damage claim under the same rules as if the vehicle had been insured. We compensate the person concerned if the driver of your uninsured vehicle damaged another vehicle or property.

We do not pay compensation for damage to your vehicle or property transported in it.

Ideally, you and the other party should fill in and sign the front page of the accident statement form immediately at the scene of the accident.
Each party then fills in the back of the accident statement form.
Be sure to always note the names and addresses of any witnesses.

You should report the damage to TFF.

When TFF pays compensation, the owner of the uninsured vehicle is liable to repay up to SEK 4 280 to TFF for damage sustained during 2011.

In certain cases, TFF can claim the full amount of compensation paid from the driver.
